Morning when you need to run. Iced coffee on the go. Anxiety from hands squeezing too tightly or letting go into emptiness. Empty promises. Rain, wet feet and heavy bags. Interruptions mid-sentence and devaluation of ideas. Flowers only on schedule. Silence as a weapon and intonation as a sentence. Your own voice is a background in someone else’s life.
